Dreamtime (July 15 – August 1)—and will be an ongoing arm of DPS. With DPS’ Utah Factory entering its second production year, Powderworks skis offer a glimpse into DPS’ R+D lab, previewing special construction or shaping features that may be incorporated into larger production runs in the future.
LLC was born in 2005 with a mission to build skis worthy of skiers
dedicated to the pursuit of the perfect turn on the perfect run. Lives
change when one is seduced by the art of riding mountains; skiing
becomes an all-encompassing quest requiring precise tools that mirror a
skier’s ultimate commitment. Our heritage includes creating the
world’s first prepreg carbon sandwich construction, and a novel lineup
of shapes that have forever changed ski design.
For the inaugural Powderworks launch during Dreamtime, we brewed
ten-year anniversary editions of the Lotus 120 and The Spoon—two iconic
DPS shapes that are mated with ultra-light cores and increased
dampening components for a differentiated space age ride. The result is
ultra-light, tourable pow sticks built to charge and absorb mixed snow
when needed. These are hand signed, factory hot-boxed, limited edition
pairs with only 25 produced per model. The standard Pure3 versions are
completely unrivaled in terms of the power-to-weight ratio, but these
Powderworks editions up the ante one step further. Shop Powderworks
during Dreamtime while inventory lasts at dpsskis.com.
DPS designs the world’s most advanced skis. Inspired by a vision to
make perfect skis worthy of those who live and breathe the sport, and
located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains in Salt Lake City, DPS
introduced the world’s first and only Pure prepreg carbon fiber
sandwich ski, the first 120mm powder pintail, transferred the word
“rocker” from surfing to skiing—then built the first rockered ski with
sidecut—and now have unleashed The Spoon. The fusion of space-age
carbon technology and groundbreaking shaping has resulted in the
world’s most advanced quiver of skis. DPS Skis are sold on four
continents and are a trusted brand of serious skiers worldwide.
