Wide collection range with new laminates made of 100% recycled polyester as well as soft-shell materials for multifunctional weather protection.

Newburyport, MA / Munich, 28th October 2014. At Expoprotection in Paris (4th to 6th November 2014), Sympatex Technologies will present a wide-ranging product portfolio. The ecological alternative among functional textile specialists will introduce new laminates with the “guaranteed green” Sympatex membrane for the sectors of corporate fashion and workwear. Several new developments made of 100% recycled and recyclable polyester (PES) will be offered in particular at the Sympatex booth (Hall 1, Booth R123).

The highly comfortable, new multifunctional soft-shell materials are another highlight. Regarding the footwear sector, the topics of moisture management and the ideal microclimate in shoes play an important role. Sympatex faces these challenges with an extensive supply of innovative moisture-tech laminates.

Among the interesting new developments in the corporate and workwear sector are, for example, “CAURA STRETCH” and “GUADIANA STRETCH”. The two-layer articles with a very soft touch are made of 100% recycled and recyclable PES and offer a high stretch content while being very durable. They are available with a smooth surface or with a rough structure.

There is also a strong trend in the apparel sector towards soft-shell materials. And there is a reason for it: The materials can be worn as a jacket or as a second layer beneath a parka and offer enough protection against cold conditions while being light and comfortable at the same time. Sympatex also presents in this category with lightweight articles like “NAMSEN” and “ALLIER PURE High2Out®” new developments with a high performance: For NAMSEN, the 100% recyclable, “guaranteed green” Sympatex membrane is combined with a smooth upper made of recycled PES as well as with a very soft recycled PES fleece on the reverse side. For the three-layer laminate ALLIER PURE High2Out®, on the other hand, Sympatex uses PES-Tricot for the reverse side.

This is also good for the environment: The fabrics are produced with 100% pure recycled polyester, so they can easily join the recycling process again. Moreover, the ecological footprint of the production of the articles is as low as possible, because they are mostly completely made within the EU. A “full traceability” of used components offers more transparency regarding production stages. All two and three-layer products are in accordance with the norm EN343 and are Öko-Tex® Standard 100 certified. Many new Sympatex laminates in the business area “Contract & Workwear” are also already bluesign® approved.
