Yesler Surpasses Kickstarter Goal

Made in America, performance-driven athletic wear exceeds fundraising goal and continues to gain momentum

Seattle, Wash. (September 30, 2014) – Yesler, a new American-made, technical clothing company with a mission to connect people to their authentic pursuit of sports and athletics, launched on Kickstarter and has now exceeded its $18,000 funding goal.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to see that people are truly connecting with Yesler,” said Vince Chu, CEO of Yesler. “We wanted to engage the community as early as possible and connect them to their pursuit of personal best while remaining authentic to the heritage of how our clothing is made.”

Yesler’s mission to create exceptional performance apparel by combining innovative design, technical fabrics, and quality construction with American craftsmanship has resonated with consumers.  In 20 days, Yesler garnered nearly 300 backers, a reflection of how people are connecting with the brand and the Made in the USA mission.

More than 70% of American people participate in sports and athletics each year and less than 2% of athletic wear is currently made here, meaning that 1.2 million domestic workers have lost their jobs due to outsourcing.

Yesler is revitalizing American-made athletic wear starting with shorts for men and capris for women. From design, fabric, to manufacturing, everything is done right here in the USA – fabrics sourced in North Carolina, designed in Seattle and made in America.  And through minimal yet effective designs, Yesler has made affordable American-made athletic wear without sacrificing quality so everyone can benefit from buying local.

“We are passionate about bringing back American manufacturing and for every 500 units sold on Kickstarter, we’ll add one American job back to the supply chain,” said Chu.  “We want the people to benefit from wearing Yesler which is why we’ve created the best athletic wear America has ever made.”

Additional information and pre-orders are available on Yesler’s Kickstarter page.  The shorts and capris are currently being sold at a discounted price of $54 and $65 respectively, and are expected to ship mid-January.  Thereafter, all garments will be available for purchase on YeslerApparel.com.
