Vancouver, B.C. (January 14, 2015) – G3, the premier backcountry ski and splitboard brand is launching the new Boundary 100 and Boundary 100W skis designed for backcountry skiers who are looking to explore both sides of the resort boundaries. These lightweight, hard charging skis are ready to rip powder in the sidecountry during the morning and rail the resort in the afternoon, making the Boundary the perfect one ski quiver for either side of the rope line.

“G3 has long been making durable, fun, and versatile products for the backcountry, and we recognize that many backcountry skiers are also resort skiers who use our products on both sides of the resort boundaries.” said Gord Bailey, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at G3. “The Boundary is the perfect ski for anyone looking for one ski that does it all – a ski light enough to take on a long backcountry tour one day, but so versatile that it can rip around the resort the next. Whether they are just getting into the sport or they are backcountry veterans, our consumers want a ski that provides endless possibilities.”

 Boundary 100 and Boundary 100W

The Boundary 100 and Boundary 100W skis are built with both aspiring and advanced backcountry enthusiasts in mind. Whether you are a beginner or expert skier looking to explore outside the resort, the Boundary is the perfect ski to take you on new adventures into the sidecountry and backcountry.

Made with G3’s all-mountain Powerlight Stealth construction, the Boundary has two layers of Titanal aluminum for dampness and stability at high speeds, so it performs well on hardpack and in variable snow conditions. A Poplar and Paulownia wood core gives it a long lasting, consistent flex while an ABS/TPU dual density sidewall provides added durability and shock absorption in bumps and mixed conditions.

Featuring G3’s Freeride Rocker, the Boundary has a low profile early rise tip, a shortened low profile ‘Stealth’ tail and slight camber underfoot that allows it to float in soft snow, maneuver in tight trees and bumps, plow through crud, and easily arc turns on hardpack and on steep faces.

Built with the same construction and features as the Boundary 100, the Boundary 100W is designed specifically for women and lighter skiers who are looking for a slightly softer flex or shorter lengths.
The Boundary weighs just 3 pounds, 9 ounces per ski in the 171 length, and the Boundary 100W weighs 3 pounds 3 ounces in the 157 length, making the uphill as easy as the downhill.
