ATLANTA, GA – February 10, 2015 – After posting record retail sales for the month of January, Triumph
started 2015 as the top selling European brand in North America. The
result is based upon motorcycle unit sales in the on-road and dual-sport
categories for the U.S. and Canada.
January 2015 retail sales rose 66 percent in the U.S. and an
extraordinary 379 percent in Canada as compared to last year. Triumph
dealers also outsold a Japanese competitor in the month.
“Triumph achieved a combined 82 percent increase in year-over-year
retail sales in North America in January. This record month for the
Hinckley-era Triumph would not be possible without the hard work of our
dealers,” said Matt Sheahan, COO of Triumph Motorcycles America. “The
results clearly state that Triumph is a growth brand, and consumers
continue to be attracted to our distinctive British styling with modern
technology on our bikes.”
