Encinitas, Calif. (Jan. 21, 2013) – SKINS Compression, the
world’s leader in gradient compression sportswear, is excited to
announce the addition of Robin Barsantee as the brand’s new national
sales director. This latest hire further solidifies SKINS’ commitment to
cultivating the brand in the U.S. and highlights the rapid growth the
brand saw in 2013.
Barsantee will support both inside and outside sales tactics to
increase the company’s momentum as expansion continues in new and
existing key markets and sport disciplines throughout North America. In
his new role, Barsantee will be responsible for leading the national
sales force, implementing effective sales strategies to build and grow
current and potential revenue channels.
With more than 13 years of
industry experience in event management, marketing and sales, Barsantee
will specifically help drive the sport specialty sales within the U.S.
Prior to joining SKINS, Barsantee held positions at some of the
industry’s leading brands, including Titleist, Polar, Zoot and most
recently, Timex.
“I am thrilled to be part of the team at SKINS, the innovators behind
the compression category,” said Robin Barsantee, national sales manager
for SKINS North America. “I am not biased when I say that SKINS
delivers the top performing sportswear on the market with the world’s
best professional athletes wearing it as proof. I look forward to
spreading the word and further positioning SKINS as the go-to brand in
the compression industry.”
Barsantee brings a unique perspective to SKINS, as well as his deep
personal passion and avid dedication to the sporting community stemming
from his history as a professional golfer for more than six years. As of
late, Barsantee has become a competitive triathlete and has completed
nine full Ironman races. SKINS has a relentless commitment to
engineering top-of-the-line, technology-driven compression that works,
setting the benchmark in dynamic gradient compression.
The brand’s
winning formula is founded in ongoing testing, science and consultation
with professional athletes to design products for peak performance. The
garments are specifically developed to compress muscle groups to trigger
acceleration in blood flow, resulting in increased oxygen to working
muscles and maximized performance. SKINS compression wear is proven to
reduce exercise-induced muscle damage, a key factor in promoting active
recovery. Whatever the sport, SKINS allows athletes to train harder,
compete longer and recover faster.
