May 15, 2014 - CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- OutdoorGearLab, a well know website famous for publishing detailed informative comparison reviews of outdoor sports related products, has released the 2014 ski goggle awards via their Top Ski Goggles Review. Eight pair of the industry's top ski goggles were put to the test for a period of two months in the High Sierra backcountry. Testers skied on snowy, windy and also bright sunny days and based the final scores on how each one performed in the areas of comfort, durability, protection, breathability, lens quality and style to determine the Editors' Choice, Top Pick and Best Buy winners.

The winners are:

The Editors' Choice award for 2014 goes to the Oakley Airbrake Ski Goggle. According to Gear Editor, Aaron Zanto, "This product dazzled us with its unbelievable comfort, lens optics and protection. It has a modern style with a very versatile size frame that was a great fit for most of our testers. In addition to those great features, it comes with two lenses, one for low light and one for bright light and the ease of changing them out and once in place, they stayed secure. This feature really pushed it to the top amongst all of the other contenders."

Top Pick award winner for 2014, goes to the POC Lobes. Review Editor, Zanto explains, "If you want to ski in High Definition, this is the product for you. This goggle has awesome lens quality. The crisp, clear optics were so great that one of our testers forgot that they had them on entirely and drove away before remembering to take them off."

The Spy Targa 3 earned the Best Buy award for 2014. Zanto advises, "This product is an exceptional value. It has a mirrored lens to reflect the suns harmful rays and provides the protection required for a good day of snow skiing. Everyone would be smart to have a pair of these in their emergency stash."

This review also comes with a Buying Advice article explaining tips to pick the right goggle for your needs to protect your eyes from light, wind and foreign body exposure and also characteristic to better understanding goggles overall.
