For its new women’s and men’s collection, ECCO has partnered with W.L. Gore & Associates and developed casual, lifestyle shoes that provide exceptional comfort in all seasons. Gore’s new GORE-TEX® SURROUND™ product technology allows feet to remain comfortably dry and cool during all activities in moderate to warm temperature environments.

Due to the breathable GORE-TEX® membrane, which completely surrounds the foot, warmth and moisture can escape through both the upper surface and the lateral ventilation system in the sole. The membrane’s waterproof properties prevent any moisture from getting in. The result is a lightweight, casual shoe that provides maximum flexibility and comfort, while being completely waterproof. The styles are crafted using premium yak leather and are available in white, true navy, chilli red, camel, concrete and black.

Complete comfort for every season

A total of 15 Gore brand partners will be bringing collections to market for the upcoming 2015 spring/summer season featuring GORE-TEX® SURROUND™ product technology. In addition to ECCO, these include top brands such as Clarks, LaSportiva, Mammut, Salewa, Scarpa, Treksta and Zamberlan. Unlike in ECCO’s footwear, moisture and warmth escapes either via an open sole construction or for hiking footwear styles, moisture escapes   downwards through the GORE-TEX®laminate into the open structure of an open-celled spacer” – and from there outwards via the shoe’s sides. Thanks to these unique constructions, feet stay dryer and more comfortable and prevent blisters from occurring.
