Business news : The Fossati Group formed to distribute inflatable boats in US and Caribbean markets
The Fossati Group, headquartered in Homestead, FL, will now become the sole distributor of Caribe inflatables in the US and the Caribbean, and will also distribute the new line of Highfield soft bottom and rigid hull inflatable boats (RIBs). Caribe inflatable boats are well known for innovation and quality and were the first inflatable boats to feature deep-V keels, oversized tubes and a bow locker in every LOA. Highfield boats trace their design heritage to the Australian Swift Boat line. Their RIBs feature powder coated aluminum hulls offering boaters lighter weight, improved performance and greater fuel economy when compared to traditional fiberglass-hulled boats.
“I see incredible potential for inflatables in the US and Caribbean markets, more than can be met by just one brand” said Fossati, CEO of The Fossati Group. “The Fossati Group will be able to offer dealers a wider variety of inflatables, both in regard to features and value.”
“Caribe is an established line that offers tremendous name recognition and great consumer value,” he added. “The Highfield brand offers the market something new – their long lasting, maintenance free aluminum hulls are a dramatic improvement over fiberglass RIBs. There’s already a lot of excitement about the Highfield brand and we plan to capitalize on it in the coming months.”
Domenico Fossati is looking forward to building upon the many relationships he has forged over the past years, as well as taking on the challenges of introducing a new brand to the marketplace. He is in the process of putting together his sales team and will be appointing sales representatives within the next few months. “We are eager to meet with dealers and build our new sales network,” Fossati continued. “There’s a lot of work to be done, but new growth is very invigorating.”
The Fossati Group will be displaying both Caribe and Highfield lines at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 25-29, 2012.
