Go Sport has finally started up its virtual store in France.
The launch
is accompanied by a contest on the internet for purchase
vouchers, tickets for a match of the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) football
team and jerseys signed by the team’s players of the team, with which Go
Sport struck a partnership last July.
For its user-friendly web shop,
the sports retail chain is using the e-commerce platform of Cdiscount.com, a discount-oriented web store controlled by its own main
shareholder, Rallye. Go Sport, which has 125 physical stores in France,
had already made a test on the internet in 2000, but dropped the project
because it did not feel it was sufficiently mature to go online.
