New product : SKORA Launches FW13 Collection
For FW13, SKORA is further pushing their unique aesthetic, “challenging what a running shoe can look like”, says David Sypniewski, Founder/CEO.
Since the launch of the SKORA, runners have been praising the unique design and function of SKORA running shoes saying “I forget I’m wearing them when I’m running” and “They’re so visually unique it’s hard not to notice them.” Picking up on this feeling of “invisible/visible”, the overall concept for FW13 is an exploration of high and low visibility.
With the use of unique materials, designs are made to disappear (FORM Limited Edition Camo) and stand out (PHASE-X with 360° Reflectivity).
David Sypniewski, Founder/CEO for SKORA, Inc. describes the collection as “an evolution of our philosophy, founded on challenging the status quo and building running shoes that enable Real Running, and seamlessly combine design and performance.”
New for FW13:
Limited Edition Camo FORM (8.2 oz Men’s / 6.8 oz Women’s) Production limited to 1000 pairs total worldwide for FW13. SKORA’s flagship premium performance running shoe adds a unique lifestyle twist with the use of Pittards CIG (Custom Image Generation) camouflage pattern Armor-Tan Goatskin leather. Originally developed and used for the Military, the pattern is dyed into the grain of the leather, not printed on top, providing a unique aesthetic with extreme durability of the pattern while preserving the performance benefits of the goatskin leather and WR100X Armor-Tan tanning process. With additional reflective features for increased night visibility. Zero-drop design, 9mm stack height, 13mm with antimicrobial insole. $185 MSRP
PHASE-X (7.2 oz Men’s / 5.8 oz Women’s) Featuring 360-degree reflectivity for the ultimate in high visibility night running, the PHASE-X is constructed with a new multilayer mesh upper composed of a soft inner mesh with a custom printed reflective pattern and a lightweight breathable open-weave top mesh. This provides a highly reflective effect in combination with excellent durability, comfort and breathability, previously not achievable in traditional mesh. The entire upper also features laminated reflective material for maximum visibility. With an asymmetric lacing system and unique IBR outsole, PHASE-X provides maximum performance with minimum weight and interference. Zero-drop, 8mm stack height, 11mm with antimicrobial insole $120 MSRP.
FW13 also introduces new colors and materials for PHASE, CORE and FORM with a focus on bright florescent colors, and bold pops of color over monochrome tonal hues.
FORM (8.2oz Men’s / 6.8oz Women’s) has a full-leather upper featuring Pittards Armor-Tan Goatskin leather with WR100X leather lining, and is designed with unique asymmetric lacing and no-tongue construction to provide a glove- like fit and premium performance.
