New products : Skullcandy to debut new product categories during 2014 International Consumer Electronic Show

PARK CITY, Utah, Jan. 8, 2014  -- Skullcandy, Inc. (Nasdaq:SKUL), the original performance lifestyle audio brand, unveisl two new and innovative product lines during the 2014 International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas. In what the brand forecasts to be a major year of growth and development, Skullcandy introduces a new collection of advanced headphones developed for women and expands into the sport performance space with key design features intended to help enhance athlete performance.

Skullcandy's first-ever women's-specific line, comprised of headphones and earbuds, was created with the notion that products for women should be fine tuned and engineered specifically for them. The collection is designed, colored, cushioned and patterned for females with a pioneering focus on women's specific acoustics and fit. Resulting from extensive research by our internal advanced concept engineering and product development teams on the anatomical and acoustical differences between men and women, the line boasts unique adjustments in clamping pressure, headband size and shape, as well as form-fitting female-specific ear gels, designed to deliver maximum acoustic performance while aiding in stability and providing long-term comfort.

In addition, the collection features premium fabrics and finishes and bold fashion-forward aesthetics that Skullcandy is known for and coupled with female-friendly add-ons like Pureclean™ antimicrobial ear gels and ear pads.

The line is set to launch March 15, 2014 and retails for $29.99–$99.99.

This summer, Skullcandy plans to officially unveil its Sport Performance line (SSP), which previews today at CES. SSP brings an elevated offering to the active earphone market designed for athletic audiophiles looking for best in class fit, construction and materialization. Featuring a proprietary innovation called Stickybuds™, which allows for maximum surface contact and friction, SSP ear gels become nearly 30 percent stickier than standard gels when you sweat—ensuring that the earbuds stay in place even during the toughest workouts. SSP's line will exceed consumers' expectations in several price brackets with regard to performance in fit, durability, microphone control, cord resistance, reflectivity and sweat resistance amongst a myriad of additional product features and technologies. The collection, an assortment consisting of earbuds, in-ear and hanger earphones, is set to deliver to its active consumers come June of 2014 with consumer accessible prices ranging from $29.99-$49.99.
