The assets, including the brand and production facility, of Mondo Marine SpA have been sold to Alessandro Falciai. Terms were not disclosed.
Mondo Marine was founded in 1978 by brothers Elio and Ferruccio Stroppiana. The new owner will be an active member of the management, providing financial continuity to the growth strategies of current CEO Roberto Zambrini.
Falciai will provide stronger equity to the historic Savona shipyard, according to a company statement. "Furthermore, Engineer Falciai, well respected within the international finance community for his M&A track record, will allow the shipyard to take advantage of all the opportunities to enhance the exclusivity and the diversification of the Mondo Marine brand," said the statement.
