Providing endless energy return, adidas BOOST now available in expanded trail running footwear collection for fall ‘15

Los Angeles (January 13, 2015) – adidas Outdoor (adidas.com/outdoor), the athletic brand in the outdoors, will debut its first hiking boots with adidas’ proprietary BOOST™ technology and expand its BOOST trail running footwear line at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, January 21 – 24, booth #1009.  adidas developed BOOST to provide athletes and outdoor enthusiasts with continuous energy return through the combination of responsive energy and plush comfort that never fades for users.
        
“This dynamic technology locks in energy return and durability and allows athletes of all levels to continue training and performing no matter the elements and conditions they find themselves in,” said Greg Thomsen, managing director adidas Outdoor U.S. “Last summer we introduced the first trail runner with the Terrex BOOST and through our expansion of this line and hiking boots we can now reach more outdoor devotees.”
        
Hiking boots with BOOST include two styles for men, the Terrex Ultimate Boost CH and the Boost Urban Hiker CW. The Terrex Ultimate Boost CH is a waterproof, winter boot delivering an energy boost to fast-paced hiking and snowshoeing with PrimaLoft® insulation and Continental™ Rubber outsole for superior grip in slippery conditions. The Boost Urban Hiker CW is a hip, casual boot for both hiking trails and city streets, and features PrimaLoft insulation and Continental Rubber. adidas’ BOOST technology provides user with long lasting durability, stability, lightweight characteristics, insulation and temperature resistance of -4 degrees to 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

For fall ’15, adidas Outdoor expands on its first trail runner with BOOST, the Terrex Boost, and has developed the Terrex Boost GTX for men and women. With the same performance benefits of the Terrex Boost, including a Pro-Moderator in the midsole for stability, and Continental Rubber outsole for ground support and grip, the line now offers a breathable GORE-TEX® membrane to keep feet dry.

In addition, adidas Outdoor will introduce the Adizero XT Prime Boost and the Adizero XT 5 Boost for men and women. The Adizero XT Prime Boost incorporates a prime knit into the upper for comfort, fit and weight reduction while featuring a Pro-Moderator in the midsole for stability and Continental Rubber Race King inspired lugs for grip. The Adizero XT 5 Boost is equipped with a protective sock extension, compression collar to protect from trail debris, and a tire-inspired TRAXION™ outsole for grip in racing conditions. The expanded BOOST trail running line includes seven styles for both men and women.
