Seattle, WA (January 05, 2015) – ExOfficio, a leading manufacturer of adventure travel apparel, is pleased to announce Julie Snow as the new Vice President of Design and Product Development, concluding a nation-wide search. In this position, Snow will be the driving force behind the evolution of the product line, reinforcing the brand’s position as the global leader in adventure travel apparel.

“I have the highest level of respect for Julie as a leader and her ability to capture the identity of a brand and translate it into compelling product,” said Brian Thompson, general manager of ExOfficio. “She has a great skill for mentoring and developing her teams, which benefits both the individuals and the company as a whole. Combined with her talent for taking innovation and technology and translating it into products that are both aesthetically pleasing and commercially viable, she really is the perfect individual for this position with us.”

A Seattle-area native, Snow brings over twenty years of apparel industry experience into her new position at ExOfficio, with an emphasis on garments that blend style with functional protection from the elements. “I’m very pleased to join this respected Northwest company so well known for quality, innovation, and authenticity,” said Snow. “The company’s history drew me in, but the skilled craftspeople who have built the company with their passion sold me. To be a part of the next chapter in ExOfficio’s continued pursuit of creating smart apparel that blends classic, technical and urban styles is exciting, and I’m inspired to be an integral part of the go-to brand for adventure travel.”

Snow is working with the ExOfficio design and product development team out of the company’s global headquarters located in the SoDo district of Seattle, Washington.

About ExOfficio

ExOfficio celebrates the traveler by crafting garments that allow one to experience the world unhindered. ExOfficio was born in 1987 when the founders discovered the need for technical apparel that performs as gear, engineering a shirt with the functions of a fly-fishing vest, the ventilation of a cool breeze and the construction of a men’s dress shirt. The same thought is put into every design detail to craft garments that will provide comfortable performance on any adventure. ExOfficio is devoted to enhancing worldly exploration through clothing that packs well, supports activity, and is durable enough for a lifetime. ExOfficio is sold internationally online and in specialty outdoor, travel and luggage stores, including five of their own flagship stores in the U.S.
