Business news :Dosenbach-Ochsner improves sales despite a difficult Swiss market

DOSENBACH-OCHSNER AG: business is good .Record number of pairs - turnover increase - unchanged focus on expansion 

DOSENBACH-OCHSNER AG remains on the path to success. The company has experienced a significant increase in sales in 2012 - despite a continuing difficult economic situation and the shopping tourism. Measured by the number of pairs of shoes sold in the last year even recorded performance never before achieved. 

With 13.1 million (against 12.8 million in 2011), the number of pairs of shoes sold by DOSENBACH OCHSNER OCHSNER SHOES SPORT and experienced unparalleled results in the long history of the company DOSENBACH-OCHSNER AG. Despite a shopping tourism sustained and monetary issues, turnover has increased and increased to CHF 915 million (against 893 million CHF in 2011). Last year, the company has re-affirmed its position as market leader in the field of Swiss retail shoes and sporting goods. The result shows an increase in market share in all sectors. "We are proud of the results achieved by our team in this difficult background conditions," says Patrice Dupasquier, chairman of the management DOSENBACH-OCHSNER AG. 

DOSENBACH-OCHSNER AG will maintain consumer prices at a stable level despite supply increase prices in producing countries. The company intends to counter the shopping tourism by making continuous adjustments to the European level of consumer prices. 

With the expansion strategy resolutely followed in all branches, the number of subsidiaries of the company rose last year to 375 in total (against 366 in 2011). The numbers have increased slightly in parallel and switched to 3905 employees (against 3896 in 2011). For the current year, the company plans to open a total of 16 new branches in the different branches. 

DOSENBACH: 9.6 million pairs of shoes sold 

DOSENBACH also followed a very positive development in 2012. With 9.6 million (against 9.3 million in 2011), the number of pairs of shoes sold in DOSENBACH rose again. Turnover could be increased through this quantitative increase and reached CHF 369 million (362 million against CHF in 2011). The result can be described as very positive knowing that showed quantitative growth above 3 percent. The number of branches increased by eight and now stands at 199 (against 191 in 2011). The numbers decreased slightly increased from 1593 to 1576. 

The concept DOSENBACH + SPORT increased in 2012 and will be further developed this year. New implantation sites are researched and existing stores are processed. Subsidiaries Glattzentrum Zurich and inaugurated in 2012 were appointed as the new design concept store, clean and friendly atmosphere is convincing. The attractive selection of shoes for women seduced by a wide variety of styles to suit all occasions. All leading brands are available in the field of sports shoes: Adidas, Nike, Puma and many more. It is for men classic and elegant styles and brands that have proven themselves as "Elefanten" are offered to children.

DEICHMANN becomes the biggest trade of shoes in Europe within 100 years 

"The hero of the party is healthy and fit as an athletic shoe," says Heinrich Deichmann, Chairman of the Board of DEICHMANN SE to the centenary of the company. This family business began operations 100 years ago. In Switzerland, Deichmann stores and Ochsner are part of the company's field of international business today. Expansion abroad DEICHMANN began there forty years in Switzerland. The Swiss family company Deichmann founded in 1865 became a member of DEICHMANN group in 1973, and even today, businesses are managed under the same name. The shoe string Ochsner has been added in 1992. 

DEICHMANN is present in Switzerland with about 400 stores in diverse concepts. 

 At the end of last year, DEICHMANN SE was present in 21 European countries and the United States. The consolidated turnover of the company amounted to EUR 4.5 billion. In 2011, the gross consolidated turnover amounted to 4.13 billion euros - and therefore increased after adjusting for currency effects of 7.4 percent. In 2012, the group ran a total of 3,325 subsidiaries (subsidiaries against 3175 in 2011) and sold 165 million pairs of shoes against 156 million in 2011). With approximately 33,700 employees, the company employed about 1,200 people in late 2012 more than in 2011 (approx. 32 500). During the year, DEICHMANN SE intends to invest a record $ 231 million euro in the development of branch network and infrastructure. The company built two new distribution centers in Germany and the Netherlands. In the spring, DEICHMANN opened first subsidiaries in Bosnia-Herzegovina. DEICHMANN is well represented throughout the territory of the South-East.
