Santa Cruz, Calif. - May 29, 2013 - Surf Technicians, LLC ("Surftech"), a leading innovator, designer and developer of the highest
performing surf and stand-up paddle boards sold worldwide has announced
today that it has taken a significant step to deepen its partnership
with Cobra International, the world leader in composite fabrication.
Surftech and Cobra share a long relationship which originated in 1990
when Surftech founder Randy French developed Tuflite composite
construction with Cobra as his manufacturing partner. Since that time,
the two partners have collaborated on several industry leading board
technologies including, Softop, ULTRAFLX, Pro-Eite, TL2, Natural
Composite and most recently Quantum Carbon construction.
Today Surftech LLC and Cobra International announced the signing of a
definitive agreement under which Cobra will become a minority
shareholder of Surftech. Under this new strategic partnership, the
structure and management of Surftech will remain the same while Surftech
will immediately benefit from increased financial and technical support
from the industry's leading manufacturer.
