Fairfax, VA - June 6, 2013 - Sport Science, in partnership with Sundog Productions, LLC, is now operating in a new 40,000 sq. ft. facility. Unveiled at a grand opening held on Saturday, June 1, 2013, this facility is one of the few clothing manufactureres in the world using green energy to power its production, which includes a solar heated water system, saving on energy and further reducing the Sport Science carbon footprint. Attendees, including Fairfax City Mayor Scott Silverthorne, toured the reconstructed building packed with sewing, screen printing, dyeing, embroidery and sublimation equipment.

In 2009, in effort to reduce its carbon footprint and create more jobs, Sport Science shifted the majority of its manufacturing from overseas facilities to domestic manufacturers based in the Carolinas. This change marked the first "Locally Sewn" performance shirt at that time. This manufacturing shift eliminated more than 7,850 miles of traveling and all the fossil fuel that goes with this distance.

Sports enthusiast and apparel expert Neal Caplowe founded Sport Science(TM) in 2004. Sport Science strives to produce top-flight, performance sportswear for the fun-having, sport-playing, running, walking, hiking, commuting, climbing, training, traveling, going, doing, active people of the world. Our mission is to engineer superior products that do more, so you can do more (or less) in style and comfort.
