Business news :Amer Sports Names New General Manager for Arc'teryx

Amer Sports named Vincent Wauters, its SVP supply chain and IT, as general manager for Arc'teryx Inc. effective June 13. Antti Jääskeläinen, Amer Sports' chief development officer, will assume leadership for the group supply chain and IT on top of his current responsibilities. 

Vincent Wauters has been responsible for Amer Sports supply chain and IT since 2008. In his new role, Wauters will develop Arc'teryx in line with Amer Sports' strategy to grow faster in Softgoods, leveraging scale and synergies and driving the Group's integration. Wauters will report to Andy Towne, president of Amer Sports' Apparel and will no longer be a member of the group executive board.

Antti Jääskeläinen, Amer Sports' chief development officer since 2009, has been responsible for leading the Group strategy and business development. In his new extended role, Jääskeläinen will continue to be a member of the group executive board and report to Heikki Takala, pesident and CEO.

"Vincent Wauters has successfully led the group supply chain and IT into a world-class operation with an integrated and scalable model. In his new role he will take Arc'teryx into its next accelerated growth chapter by leveraging the Group capabilities, whilst continuing to build on the strong Arc'teryx foundation with authentic, premium positioning and outstanding, innovative product," says Andy Towne, president of Amer Sports' Apparel.

"These moves accelerate our strategy execution through increasing scale and synergies and further integration of both the Arc'teryx operation as well as our supply chain and IT.
