Business people : Escalade Sports Appoints VP of Marketing

Escalade Sports continues to intensify its focus on brands and brand development, and in line with that objective, has named David Vogrin to the new position - director of marketing.

Vogrin, formerly Director of Marketing at Medalist Performance Sports Apparel and President of Stonehouse Publishing brings significant experience in the Sporting Goods industry as well with brand building and marketing communication.   “David [Vogrin] has a perspective and an expertise that we need as we grow our business and increase our focus on the consumer ”, says Dave Fetherman, President of Escalade Sports.  “His background,skill set and leadership will be a valuable asset to the team, particularly as we develop our brands and product offerings in the dynamic markets in which we compete”,  Fetherman concluded.

Vogrin’s background includes strategic brand direction development, brand and product positioning and customer targeting, as well as classic brand management.  These are all tools that are essential in the next phases of Escalade’s growth plans, according to Escalade insiders.
