Business people :Umbro Canada Appoints Quebec Sales Representative

R.M.P. Athletic Locker Ltd and Umbro Canada added MLS and Canadian National Team veteran Greg Sutton to their sales team. Based in Montreal, Sutton will be responsible for sales and club business in the Quebec Territory and will help to solidify Umbro's position as the leading grassroots soccer brand in Canada.

Greg has been a fixture in the game of soccer for years with professional stints for TFC, New York Red Bulls and his current position with the Montreal Impact.  His relationship with Umbro Canada has been a long-standing one, wearing the Double Diamond as an Umbro athlete for the past 7 years. Retiring from the game at the end of the 2012 season, Greg's next career step will be to back stop the Umbro brand in Quebec.

Greg's knowledge of the provincial soccer landscape, club and team personnel will provide a solid foundation for cultivating grassroots business partnerships.  His experience and performance history will give him the ability to assist retailers in selecting and providing the best products for their customers.

"With Greg's background, authenticity and work ethic, we expect to make strong advancements in the game within the Province of Quebec and beyond" commented Mike Shoemaker, Vice President of Umbro Canada.  "We are clearly focused on gaining a stronger tie to the local club and team business and furthering our relationships and dialogues with regional and provincial bodies.  Greg brings with him a vast knowledge of the game, globally as well as locally, and we are excited to have him.  We will continue to invest in the brand and people that are entrenched in the game across the country."

About R.M.P:
Founded in 1977, R.M.P. was started by two brothers, Mike and Paul Dyon.  Mike, a four-time Canadian marathon champion and Paul, a running enthusiast, first brought Brooks into Canada when they discovered the footwear at a race in Florida. What started as an experiment in sales led to a major distribution agreement between Brooks and R.M.P. that has lasted more than thirty years.  R.M.P. Athletic Locker Limited now maintains the license and distributions rights in Canada to several premium athletic and lifestyle brands in Canada.
