Business people : Parmaris names new sales manager

Pete Evans has a wealth of experience in the safety equipment sector

UK-based lifejacket manufacturer Parmaris has appointed Pete Evans as the group’s new sales manager.

Evans previously worked for Crewsaver for more than 16 years and has a wealth of experience in the safety equipment sector, including a number of years focused on cruise and ferry commercial sales as well as commercial export and the leisure sector. He is also an experienced racing sailor.

“We are very pleased to have secured a sales manager of Pete’s vast experience,” Terry Hayward, managing director of Parmaris. “Our order books are already looking positive for the next season, and we are looking forward to yet further opportunities for Parmaris, as well the continued strong care of our valued existing customers.”

Parmaris produces a full range of lifejackets for the leisure and commercial marine, industrial, fishing, military and aviation sectors. Its client base includes traditional marine distribution routes through chandlers and marine outlets as well as manufacturing for many own-branding customers.

Evans' appointment coincides with an expansion programme at Parmaris, as the company adds 1,000sq ft of additional premises to its existing production facility in Birkenhead.
