EXETER, NEW HAMPSHIRE--(Nov. 20, 2014) - Bauer Hockey, the world's leading manufacturer of ice hockey equipment, recently unveiled a global advertising campaign for its expanded line of performance apparel featuring patented 37.5™ technology. The campaign, which includes a 60-second television commercial and a fully integrated digital experience, features some of the best players in the game.
Henrik Lundqvist, Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Claude Giroux, James Van Riemsdyk and Aaron Ekblad are all featured in the campaign, which showcases the latest line of BAUER base layer, protective base layer and training apparel all specifically designed for hockey.
"Our BAUER performance apparel business has been successful because athletes know that all of our products are built for hockey players with a unique understanding of their needs," said Rich Wuerthele, executive vice president, hockey. "The combination of our unique hockey-specific design and the revolutionary 37.5 technology helps athletes stay cooler, drier and more focused on their game."
Apparel with 37.5 technology dries up to five times faster than competitive products. While other fabrics simply wick moisture around the garment, trapping humidity near the athlete's skin, 37.5 technology harnesses the athlete's body heat to evaporate moisture and move it away from the skin. Unlike wicking apparel, airflow is not needed, which allows 37.5 technology to work well underneath equipment. In fact, the use of 37.5 technology in multiple layers - performance apparel, protective equipment and uniforms - increases the overall effectiveness and evaporation process.
BAUER recently expanded its apparel offering to include base layer, women-specific base layer, protective base layer and training apparel. Each of these apparel products are built for hockey with specific in-seam construction to align with the unique movements of a hockey player.
