Biking Apparel Finally Evolves: Elevenpine Launches Dual-Fit Bike Shorts and Must Watch Video

Boulder (CO): There is now an alternative to the full spandex racing outfits for cyclists. Elevenpine, a new company based in Boulder, CO, has launched a Kickstarter campaign (www.kickstarter.com/projects/elevenpine/cycling-shorts-performance-and-comfort-on-off-the) to introduce its dude-friendly, high-performance to casual cycling clothing. Its patent pending NST™ dual-fit system enables cyclists to wear form-fitting shorts when on the bike and quickly transition into loose, comfortable and awesome looking shorts when off. Elevenpine is led by a high quality team with many years of experience working at companies such as Pearl Izumi and Nike.

“Cycling is the only sport in which people are pressured to wear their racing gear even though they are not racing,” states founder, Jeff Curran, an avid cyclist, adventurist and entrepreneur based in Boulder, CO. “Do you ski in racing tights trying to look like Bode Miller? Performance, comfort and fashion have always had to compete. Our shorts radically change that. Cyclists now have the choice to wear shorts that provide high performance on the bike and quickly convert into great looking shorts off the bike. Now you do not have to be ‘that guy’ in public causing discomfort for everyone.”

Elevenpine launched with a video that highlights the public need and reveals its amazing answer, and therefore, the reason to support Elevenpine’s Kickstarter campaign: Elevenpine video: Help Us Help Everyone.

The high performance apparel – which are also great for yoga, running, hiking, rock climbing and more – incorporates fabrics with 37.5 technology from Cocona, Inc., another Boulder based company. 37.5 technology is naturally derived, does not retain odor, never washes out, helps fabric dry up to five times faster than other performance fabrics and helps regulate core body temperatures.

Ryan Van Duzer, television personality, cyclist and travel video journalist, has long embodied the Elevenpine brand. He has ridden his cruiser bike across the country to promote bicycle advocacy working with the League of American Cyclist to demonstrate you do not need to ride the lightest and most expensive bike and gear. Ryan notes, “it is about time Elevenpine came to rescue bikers and the public from the ridiculousness of the full spandex kits. Now with Elevenpine, you can go on a great ride and then go comfortably to a restaurant with friends to grab a beer … without making anyone uncomfortable.”

37.5™ Technology

With 37.5 technology, patented active particles permanently embedded at the fiber level capture and release moisture vapor. Not only do these active particles provide 800% more surface area to the fiber, they also provide a unique driving force to remove moisture vapor unlike any other technology. By actively responding to body heat, the active particles use this energy from the body to accelerate the vapor movement and speed up the conversion of liquid to vapor, significantly increasing drying rates. This means the hotter the user gets, the stronger the driving force removing moisture becomes—and the more comfortable the clothing remains. For more information visit www.thirtysevenfive.com.

About Elevenpine

Elevenpine was born of a genuine public need … No one wants to go (or see you go) full leotard in public. Now individuals can seamlessly integrate cycling into their lives and in public. Elevenpine performs like current performance cycling clothing, but lets a dude still feel like a dude … and women feel feminine, strong and attractive without sacrificing performance. It doesn’t call attention to itself. It’s not too tight. It’s relaxed, comfortable, and pleasant to look at.
