After their successful expansion from alpine Austria into the South of Germany, the international boardsports online retailer Blue Tomato is gearing up for a big leap to the far North. Adding to the shop in Rosenheim and two in Munich, Hamburg will be the fourth stationary site in Germany. Together with four in Austria that makes eight retail stores on top of the enormous online space of blue-tomato.com.
So from May 30th, you will find the action sport specialist on 310 square meters in the Alstertal-Einkaufszentrum (AEZ) in the Northwest of Hamburg, the historic district Poppenbüttel. 40 years ago, the AEZ was the very first canopied shopping gallery in Germany and is now the largest in the North of the country, with 240 stores and easy access to public transport. Similar to the big malls in the US, it offers an extensive mix of products and anything you need.
Blue Tomato will enrich their range with a great choice of skate decks this summer, as well as surf and longboards. Plus matching street wear and sneakers of course. And in winter, the sport enthusiasts will bring out the big guns and rock the house with one of the largest selections of snowboards and freeskis as well as performance outerwear in the whole country. Ultimate ambition being to always provide skaters, surfers, snowboarders and freeskiers with the latest trends and best products, living up to their credo: “YOUR RIDE. OUR MISSION”.

The inauguration of Blue Tomato in Hamburg already went down last week, as partners of the Surf & Skate Festival. With some heavy beats by techno princess Palina Rojinski aka Palina Power (Yum Yum, VIVA/MTV), who took Terrace Hill by storm with her musical embrace and Hamburgs finest Christoph Friedmann (Schwarzes Gold) and New Shoes (Illegal) for support.
