New products : More Than Just Sunglasses, Costa Grows Apparel Collection with New Graphic Shirts, Hats

Daytona Beach, Fla., Apr 29, 2013 -
Costa’s known for its patented color-enhancing 580 lenses and “forget-they’re-on” fit sunglasses. But its growing line of branded apparel is quickly catching on with fans. This year, Costa introduces nine new tee shirts, two new performance shirts and four new hat collections to add to its expanding gear roster.

The unique collection of shirts feature original artwork from renowned fishing artists like Carey Chen and Jose Canales, as well as vintage-inspired graphics, highlighting Costa’s 30-year born on the water heritage.

The new tee shirts are 100 percent pre-shrunk cotton, and are available in both short and long sleeves, in a variety of vibrant colors, including yellow, lime, hot pink, royal blue and orange. Other colors include white, black, gray and navy blue. Costa also extended its partnership with RealTree® Camo to include a new Max-4™ Camo tee shirt design.

Costa produced two new long-sleeve moisture-wicking, stain-resistant performance shirts, with a UV protection factor of 50+ built into the fabric. The shirts are available with either a redfish or a sailfish tail camouflaged into the Costa logo.

In addition, Costa debuted three other new hat designs, including a knit beanie. A collection of trucker hats, visors and twill caps in a variety of styles and colors round out the collection.

Ladies have their fair share of new apparel options to choose from, as well. Several of Costa’s new shirts feature a female cut, with designs including the new RealTree AP™ Pink Camo.

“We’re seeing tremendous growth of our apparel collections through our retail partners,” said Chas MacDonald, president of Costa Sunglasses. “We’re working to grow the line even more, bringing in new graphic tees, performance shirts and hats to meet the demands of our customers.”

Costa’s hat start at $14.95, and graphic t-shirts start at $19.95. Costa also offers a variety of retainer cords and sunglass cleaning cloths. To see more images of Costa’s apparel collection, visit www.costadelmar.com/shop.

For Costa, conservation is all about sustainable fishing.  Many fisheries that should be vibrant and healthy are all but devoid of native fish because they have fallen victim to poor fishing practices, unregulated development, lack of watershed protection or all of the above. Costa works with partners around the world to help increase awareness and influence policy so that both the fish and fishermen of tomorrow will have healthy waters to enjoy.  Costa encourages others to help in any way they can.
