Crowdfunding : Genneo Portable Renewable Energy When and Where It’s Needed Most

Genneo announces new line of high performance Mobile Kinetic Generators for Outdoor Recreation and Emergency Kits – On Kickstarter through November 20

Kansas City, MO  November 13, 2013
Power phones, lights, tablets, and cameras anywhere under any condition with Genneo’s new line of high performance Mobile Kinetic Generators. Whether away from the grid or left without power in an emergency, Genneo is there as a reliable source of energy.

Genneo, a new company based in Kansas City, has created a line of products that generate power for charging mobile phones and other electronics. Different from spinning or solar generators, these products are easily carried and capture energy as movement occurs naturally, storing energy in the on-board battery. If in a hurry, these generators are also optimized for fast charging when shaken multiplying the charge rate by 20 or more. As complete auxiliary batteries, the mobile generator can be pre-charged, with the added advantage of keeping topped-off as it’s carried. No need to set something up in the sun or turn a crank, Genneo generators are simple and easy to use.

Two Genneo models, the G4000 and G3000 will be available through Kickstarter crowdfunding until November 20th. Products will ship in the first quarter of 2014. The G4000 can generate up to an hour of talk time for every five hours that it is carried, and the G3000 can provide up to an hour of talk time for every seven hours carried. Both products make a big contribution to the daily power needs of any active mobile phone user and offer high-output USB charging.

“I got the idea for the Genneo after many years of forgetting to charge my phone and then needing it when there was no time or place to stop and charge. As an active guy and an electrical engineer into physics, I’d often wondered if it was possible to generate enough energy from my own motion to put some charge into my phone. After about 3 years of research and a couple of patent pending breakthroughs, it now is possible. And the best part is that even when I forget to charge, I now always have power,” said Blake Isaacs, founder of Genneo.
