organization news : New business-to-business site connects snow sports suppliers and business services vendors

WASHINGTON (Nov. 14, 2013) - SnowSports Industries America (SIA), the snow sports industry’s member-owned trade association, launched the website SnowSportsB2B.org for retailers, manufacturers and resorts to easily browse SIA’s business-to-business resources.

SnowSportsB2B.org, a response to the industry’s need for a directory of service providers with a good industry reputation, features a comprehensive list of all SIA members searchable by name, product category or keyword that collectively provide more than 20 different types of services and products vital to the industry.

“We have literally hundreds of innovative and cost-effective business service members,” says Tom Davis, SIA’s supporting membership sales and marketing manager. “SnowSportsB2B.org is a streamlined way for brands, retailers, resorts and all industry professionals to conduct their vendor searches. Knowing all of their vendor options helps them find the most productive business relationships.”

The companies listed on SnowSportsB2B.org support the snow sports industry by being dues-paying members of SIA. Their specialties include POS, e-commerce services, booth design, legal services, marketing/PR, travel services, buying groups, logistics, design contracting, raw material/OEM supply, videography/photography, publications, insurance liability and consulting.

“Finding trustworthy vendors is tough - it’s great to know SIA’s SnowSportsB2B can help with the process,” said Lauren Wenzel of Snowmass Sports in Snowmass, Colo.

Snow sports suppliers will use SnowSportsB2B.org when looking for:

-   Branding ideas covered during the SIA Snow Show seminars
-   Business how-tos from SIA’s snow-sports focused business service members
-   Snow-sports specific business webinars hosted by SIA members
-   Merchandising tips, with new ideas every Monday
C1 Partners will host the first SnowSportsB2B webinar series beginning December 4 at 2P EST with an “Overview of Digital Marketing.” The line-up of C1 seminars will be hosted the first Wednesday of every month to cover a series of topics:
-   Positioning, Messaging and Persona Development
-   Keywords Targeting
-   Website Optimization
-   Blogging For Small Business
-   Linkbuilding

“Making this information available to SIA members that wouldn’t get it otherwise is really timely and valuable,” said Dan Smink, partner/owner at C1 Partners, a supporting member that will also host marketing seminars at the 2014 SIA Snow Show. “The webinars series should make the members much more informed decision makers, whether they decide to do business with us or someone else.”
