Trade show : Action Sports And Streetwear Show The Ledge Postponed

Over the past two years The Ledge has offered a platform for over 200 action sports and streetwear brands to come together under one iconic roof at Olympia Exhibition Centre in central London. Sadly, after much deliberation the decision has been made to cancel The Ledge trade show for January 2014.

A show that has always prided itself on tailoring to the individual needs of each exhibitor, the decision has been made to withdraw the event from the current trade show calendar as a result of conflicting dates with production deadlines and clashes with similar events and locations which has made it impossible to find a satisfactory date for a UK show.
The Ledge Director Kelin Phillipson says:

“The last two years have been spent working hard to build The Ledge into an internationally recognised and respected trade show. The close working relationship we have developed with our exhibitors along with our loyalty to the industry in general enabled us to successfully put an actions sports and street wear exhibition back onto the UK trade show calendar. In light of this determination and commitment, the decision to suspend The Ledge has been an extremely difficult one and has been taken with a heavy heart. With tighter and constantly shifting sales, show and showroom deadlines spread throughout an increasingly small sales window of opportunity, for the time being there are no acceptable dates on which to confidently deliver a successful Ledge and provide the industry with the show it deserves. 
Consultant Show Director Matt Law says:

“The Ledge was exactly what our industry needed and, with the support of LondonEdge, we had finally got to a point where the brands needs were being met. Sadly due to dates and timing issues and despite huge amounts of hard work, a great show has come to a halt. I would like to thank London Edge personally for the support in allowing me to be a huge part of The Ledge. I would also like to thank all the brands and friends who have supported the show throughout”.

The team will continue to configure details with the aim of providing a well-established and legitimate show again in the near future. 

The Ledge has always been co-located with LondonEdge which will be continuing its 14 year track record with the February show running 2nd-4th at London Olympia
